This Notice is applicable to all platforms, games and services (collectively referred to as the “Services”) offered by SV Gaming Ltd (“BetKing”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”, including our affiliates, successors and assignees), a company duly registered under the laws of Nigeria, with company registration (RC 1419108). By accessing and using our Website and Services, you agree to the processing of your personal information in accordance with this Notice.
This Notice should be read in conjunction with the General Terms and Conditions and must be applied with due consideration and compliance with all applicable data privacy and protection laws in Nigeria. Collection of Personal Data
Overview: We may receive and collect personal data about you in several ways, including data you provide or make available to us directly, data collected from your devices or data you provide to third parties who have permission to share it with us. The type of personal data we collect will typically depend on whether you are accessing our website as a visitor, staker/punter or agent.
When we collect information
We collect information when you:
- access or register or sign up to our Services;
- visit, access, make use of, interact with Websites or participate in or interact with any of our Services;
- visit our offices, agent shops or attend any of our physical events, including information for identification, events management and security;
- contact our support center, communicate with us via live chat or social media,
- participate in any marketing or promotional activity, or complete surveys offered by Us or on Our behalf;
- subscribe to newsletters or signup to hear about current or upcoming Services, or
- submit your personal data to us for any other reason related to our services.
We may also automatically collect some technical information when you visit our Website, such as your IP address, and information about your visit, such as the pages that you viewed. This information helps us understand customer interests and helps us improve our services.
Information we Collect
The personal information about you which we may collect, use and process includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Identifying Information: data that identifies you, such as full name, identity document number, age, date of birth, gender, social media profiles, marital status, image.
- Contact Information: such as mobile number, state of residence, residential and/or business address, email address.
- Account Information: such as user ID, username, password, account preferences, transaction history, transaction details, feedback, survey responses, account and Service usage from accessing the Website and Services.
- Technical information: including the type of device you use, unique device identifiers such as internet protocol (IP) address of your device, or your device's IMEI or serial number or SIM card number of your non-smart phone or feature phone, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about the SIM card used by your device, mobile network information, services or products you viewed or searched for or requested; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, and page interaction information .
- Financial information: including bank account details, bank verification number, your transaction information when you withdraw from or deposit into your account, information we obtain from fraud prevention agencies, Anti-Money Laundering agencies, due diligence or screening tools, and any government or regulatory body.
- Location information: including information on the location of the device you have logged in from. Information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our App, system and network (including date and time).
- Publicly Available Information: we may also collect information publicly available about you, such as on web searches, social media pages and other public platforms, further to the provision of the Services to you, particularly when conducting due diligence or AML screening checks.
Sensitive Personal Information
Sensitive Personal Information is defined as personal information about your race, ethnic origin, genetic or biometric data, religious/philosophical/political opinions, health status, sex life, trade union membership and other information prescribed by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We collect certain sensitive personal information further to the know-your-customer/anti-money laundering checks required under applicable laws and regulations in Nigeria such as: (i) biometric data, such as, fingerprint from your identification document, and (ii) information about whether you are a politically exposed person.
Information Collected Using Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, beacons, software development kits, mobile analytics software, and/or similar technologies for several purposes, including to authenticate users, prevent fraud, preferences and settings, analyze advertising and messaging campaigns, analyze traffic and trends, personalize content (including ads), and otherwise provide the Services. These technologies may collect information about your use of our Services, mobile network, IP address, operating system, Device ID, pages you view, links you tap, and other actions taken in connection with our Services.
You may disable non-essential cookies when you visit the Website, but this could affect the availability and functionality of some or all our Services. Web Analytics
We also may utilize web analysis services provided by third parties on our Website or in connection with the provision of the Services, such as Google Analytics, to better understand your use of the Website and Services. We use these analytics services to collect anonymised information such as, how often users visit the Websites, what pages they visit and what other sites they used prior to visiting. The data collected is anonymized and is used to track and examine the use of the Website and, to prepare reports on user activities. Please note that some third-party service providers may use the data collected on the Website to contextualize and personalize the ads of their own advertising network.

Overview: We collect, use, and store your personal data for a number of business and commercial purposes, including to provide, promote, maintain, personalise and improve our Website and Services including the offering of various products and services for your entertainment, to develop new products and services, and to protect Us, content partners and our users from fraudulent or illegal activity.
Purposes: Specific purposes for which we process your data include:
- to conclude and fulfil the agreement with you,
- to establish, personalize and maintain your account,
- to maintain the safety, security and integrity of our Services, for example authenticate your identity, ensuring account security and fraud detection,
- to fulfil your requests on the Website or in connection with the Services,
- to assess your compliance with our Terms and Conditions, to respond to legitimate claims or address any reasonable belief that you have violated the rights of any third party in connection with our Services,
- to understand your needs and communicate changes or upgrades to our products and services,
- to understand how you interact with our Services and personalize the product experience and content (including advertising and messaging campaigns)
- to provide customer support services, administer contests, surveys and notify contest winners and award prizes,
- to fulfil obligations arising from provisions of applicable laws, investigate or address claims or disputes relating to your use of the Services,
- to fulfil any contractual obligations with our business partners in connection with our provision of the Services to you,
- where you give consent, to market our Services, our affiliate products and services, including through advertising tailored for individual or group needs and preferences, for example online advertising,

- continually review and analyse your transactions for the purposes of fraud and transaction monitoring to identify suspicious behaviors, patterns or anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity or other illicit intentions,
- comply with all applicable reasonable business practices, laws and regulations, including Customer Due Diligence, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing requirements, Know Your Customer principles and other relevant legal/regulatory requirements, and
- to establish, exercise and defend of legal claims, enforce or investigate potential violations of our terms of use or any other actual or alleged fraudulent activities, protecting rights, property or safety of Us, our affiliate group companies, our customers, employees and other third parties including industry and sporting trade bodies.
Personal information will only be used for the purposes identified above. Please note that personal information may be used for secondary purposes, however, this secondary purpose shall be compatible with the initial purpose disclosed on collection or we shall disclose the further processing to you and obtain your consent to the extent required by applicable law.
Who are the Recipients of Personal Data?
We may share information in specific situations and with third parties to help provide you with the Services. Your personal data may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:
- BetKing employees, independent contractors, consultants, business associates, suppliers, agents and its affiliates (which includes our holding companies, subsidiaries and entities that control or are under common control with BetKing) further to performance of any of the purposes identified above, provision and maintenance of the Services to you;
- to service providers retained by us to enhance or in connection with the Services to you, including hosting services providers, cloud storage providers, sponsors platform development software providers and the developers of our products and services, support and security services providers, analytics tools and services providers, customer support services providers, banking, payment and reconciliation services providers, couriers for the delivery and fulfilment of prizes arising in respect of any Service, independent auditors to assess and ensure compliance with the rules of Our Services;
- to fraud prevention, KYC/AML due diligence and verification service providers that use the information to provide such fraud, anti-money laundering checks and prevention services, and verify information provided by you;
- marketing services providers supporting us in promoting Our Services, including marketing agencies, email distribution and other marketing tools providers, social media marketing services providers including Facebook and Google, as well as analytics services providers;
- partners who may offer access to Our Services on our behalf and/or partners with whom We co-operate with respect to hosting and placing our Services on their platforms;
- third parties, including regulatory/governmental bodies, courts or bodies of similar nature, to comply with applicable laws, to enforce or investigate potential violations of any other contract between you and us, to file or respond to judicial processes, to provide information law enforcement agencies in connection with an investigation, public safety matters or as otherwise required by law, to protect our rights, property or safety or that of our customers, employees, and other third parties;
- third parties in relation to sports integrity and compliance monitoring activities and prevention; and/or
- third parties in relation to reorganization of the Betking group, in particular a third party that acquires (or proposes to acquire) ownership or control of our assets, shares or management, or that of our affiliates by any means, or a third party from whom we acquire, ownership or control of assets, shares or management.
We may also share your personal information to third parties outside the above when we have your express consent to do so. When we share your Personal Data with third parties, we ensure that those third parties to enter into a contract with appropriate data protection clauses or third-party data processing contracts that requires them to use the Personal Data we transfer to them in a manner that is consistent with this Notice, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (“NDPA”), and other applicable regulations.
Lawful Basis for Processing your Information
BetKing ensures that Personal Data is processed lawfully and without adversely affecting your rights, in accordance with the following principles of data protection:
- Data is collected and processed fairly, transparently and lawfully.
- Data is processed only for identified purposes.
- Data is accurate and updated as necessary.
- Data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose or as otherwise required by law.
- Data collected and processed is necessary, adequate and relevant to the identified purpose(s).
- Data is secured using appropriate technical and organizational measures.
- We exercise care when processing your data. We are responsible for ensuring compliance with all data protection principles when we process your personal information.
In accordance with the principles above, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases when we process your personal information:
Your Consent: The primary basis we rely on to process your personal information is your consent. When you create an account and register for our Services, you will see a clear and unambiguous display of this Notice with a link to review the same. Before you can create an account, you will have to check a tick box to signify your consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this Notice. Note that once you provide consent, you may change your mind and withdraw the consent at any time by contacting us. However, please note that consent withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. Please note that withdrawal of your consent may impede our ability to provide the Services to you.
In addition, we require your consent to directly market our Services. However, you can always unsubscribe from receiving our marketing content.
Contractual Obligation: We process certain information about you pursuant to the performance of the contract we have with you, or to enter into a contract with you. We use this data to:
- Give you the Services we agreed to in line with our terms and conditions.
- Send you messages about your account and other services you use if you get in touch, or we need to tell you about something.
- Exercise our rights under the contracts we’ve entered into with you and resolve complaints and other issues.
Further to the contract, we may provide your personal data to third parties engaged by us further to the provision of the Services, whether local or foreign, as necessary for the proper execution of processes related to the provision of the Services; and where the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary, required or authorised by or under relevant laws or contracts.
Legal Obligation: It’s our legal duty to ensure that we are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Laws, and further to this obligation, we may collect and store certain financial information which may include personal data. Also, to protect against fraud and unauthorized access, we verify your identity with your personal information and continually review transactions.
In addition, we may process your personal data where it is necessary to respond to a lawful request from a law enforcement or regulatory authority, in the defense of legal claims or in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of any of our website’s terms.
Vital Interests: We may process your Personal Data where it is necessary to protect an interest which is essential for your life, health, and bodily safety. For clarity sake, please note that this basis is limited in scope and will come into play in matters of life and death, for instance where we have not obtained your consent (because you are physically or legally incapable of giving it) or have any other appropriate legal basis for processing your personal data and we have to manage a situation of emergency involving you. We will not rely on this basis where you expressly refuse consent (unless you are not competent to do so).
Public Interest: We may process your information where it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in order to fulfil a public mandate imposed on us.
Legitimate Interest: Processing may be done further to the legitimate interest of BetKing (including its affiliates and relevant third parties) for our business operations, such as safeguarding our assets, fraud prevention, security, etc. However, processing under this basis will not be intrusive, contrary to your fundamental rights and freedoms, will be balanced against your reasonable expectations, and will only be used when necessary. The following are examples of instances when we may process under legitimate interests: investigation of a breach of an agreement, the collection of a debt or fraud prevention.
Direct Marketing
We may process your personal information in order to contact you or send you marketing content and communication about our products, services or surveys. You have the right to object to such contact from us or opt out from the marketing content. Please note however that if you opt-out of marketing content, we may still send you messages relating to transactions and our Services related to our ongoing business relationship.
Separate from this Notice, we may ask you for permission to send notifications to you. Our Services will still work if you do not grant us consent to send you notifications.
Accuracy of Personal Information
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the accuracy of your personal information. You may also update us of any changes to your personal information from time to time by contacting us. You are primarily responsible for ensuring that all personal information submitted are accurate, complete and up-to-date. From time to time, we may request updated data; it is important that data subjects cooperate and provide the same.
We may verify personal information provided by you with the help of trusted third parties. We may also request you to provide copies of documents related to your personal information for the purpose of verifying your personal information.
It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed of any changes to your personal data during the course of your relationship with us.
What are your Rights as a Data Subject?
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data processed by Us:
Right to Access and Data Portability: You have the right to request access to or copies of your personal data in a machine-readable format. You may also request that we share or transfer your personal data to a third party where it is technically feasible.
Right to Rectification: You can ask us to correct or update any inaccurate or out-of-date personal data amended. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Right to be Forgotten: You can ask us to erase personal data. Note that this right is limited and we may retain personal data that is necessary for an investigation or under a subsisting contract which may require further processing or where the data relates to criminal records; or for us to comply with financial and tax regulations and for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Where you have objected to processing for marketing purposes, we may also retain a core set of your personal data to ensure we do not inadvertently contact you in the future.
Right to Object to Processing: You can object to processing your personal data for marketing purposes; you can object to processing of your personal data based on Our legitimate interest unless We have another lawful basis to continue processing the data.
Right to be Informed: You have the right to know how your data is collected and processed, including all related information.
Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent to process your information at any time and we shall immediately cease processing your data (if we rely solely on your consent as the lawful basis to process the information). Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior.
Exercising Your Rights
You can exercise your rights and lodge requests to Our Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at dpo@kingmakers.com. Please note that in some cases we may not be able to comply with your request for reasons such as our own obligations to comply with other legal or regulatory requirements. If we can’t comply with your request, we will inform you of the reasons why.
We will work to resolve any complaints in relation to any of the above rights within 72 hours of knowledge of the breach of the right.
Minors: We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from anyone under the age of 18, nor do we allow such individuals to use our Services. If you believe we might have any personal information from or about a child under this age, please contact us using the details provided on the last page. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered such information, we will delete it.
Support center: Should you have any difficulties with exercising any of the rights referred to above using your Account, you may contact us at the customer support email address cs@betking.com for assistance (in such case, for security reasons you may be asked to confirm your request by logging into your Account and upon such confirmation your request will be considered to be validly filed).
Complaints: You can raise a complaint about our processing with the data protection regulator in your jurisdiction. If you find it difficult to contact the data protection regulator, we will help you.
Obtaining Your Consent
You consent to the processing of your Personal Data when you access our platforms, or use our services, content, features, technologies or functions offered on our Website or other digital platforms.
Storage and Retention of your Data
Data Retention Principles: We retain your personal data for the duration of your registration and holding of a BetKing account and following the end of such registration or holding of the account, to the extent that the data is necessary for the purposes with respect to which we are permitted and/or required to process data, in any event no longer than for the period of expiry of claims, including for the following purposes:
- compliance with obligations resulting from applicable laws to which We are subject;
- establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims as well as for the purposes any other legal proceedings or compliance with any judgments and/or decisions issued by public authorities;
- research and analytics, provided that we shall anonymise your data;
- maintaining the Account in accordance with the termination provision below.
Access to your Account after termination: Following the cancellation or termination of your Account, your Account, and your personal data and any related information will be deleted and not available should you re-subscribe. Data shall only be retained for a legitimate legal purpose as may be required by any relevant data laws.
Data Retention Principles with respect to consent: As outlined above we might be processing your data based solely on consent. In such event, we process data only as long as the consent is valid and to the extent that the data is necessary for the purposes with respect to which we are permitted and/or required to process data.
Where appropriate we will encrypt, pseudonymize, anonymize and/or segregate information so that we may make use of it in a manner that avoids unnecessary identification, in the interest of protecting your privacy and enhancing security practices.
Safeguarding and Protection of Information
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your information is secured and protected. BetKing has put in place technical and operational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, accidental loss, or destruction.
Your Personal Data is kept private, and we make every effort to keep your Personal Data secure, including restricting access to your Personal Data with us on a need-to-know basis. We require our staff and any third parties who carry out any work on our behalf to comply with appropriate security standards to protect your Personal Data.
We have procedures in place to deal with suspected personal data breaches, including notifying you and the relevant regulator of a breach, where necessary. Where you use a password for any of your accounts, please ensure you do not share this with anyone, and the password is always kept confidential.
International Data Transfers
From time to time, we may need to transfer your personal information outside Nigeria in accordance with our use of Your Personal Data set out above, such as off-shore data storage in cloud servers or foreign service providers.
Conditions of Transfer
Where we send your information outside of Nigeria, we will make sure that your information is properly protected in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, including:
- by ensuring that the relevant recipient countries have the same level of protection for personal data,
- by conducting due diligence on the recipient and ensuring that they have and implement a comprehensive data protection framework, privacy principles, associated policies and practices that ensures continuity of protection of your personal data or
- the relevant third-party recipients agreeing to a data protection clause or agreement that provide for the protection and privacy of your personal data.
Consent to Cross-Border Transfers: You hereby consent to the transfer of your personal data to cross border recipients on the conditions above.
Non-Compliance with this Statement
BetKing shall have the right to terminate any agreement with you for failure to comply with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and its other Terms and Conditions and reject any application for information contrary to this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Notice
Due to constant changes in technology and regulatory requirements, we may need to change our privacy policies or update this policy from time to time. You will always be able to find the most recent version of our updated privacy policy on the Website.
In case of discrepancy between this document and the Terms and Conditions the provisions of this Privacy Notice will prevail.
